Projects In The Works!

We are always working on project cars. Please check in from time to time to see what we are working on.

Since we are Model A guys we always keep to the Model A theme and keep to that era of correctness with our speedsters, era hot rods and rolling chassis.

See updates on

1930 Model A Ford Wood Boat Tail Speedster project.

1929 Model A Ford Sport Coupe Vintage Hot Rod project.

I purchased this Model A Sport Coupe about 5 years ago. It has been kept in safe-keeping at the Man Cave but set aside until now. Sorry to say, other projects and personal life got preference for one reason or another. We all know how “ other things” interrupt our quality Model A time... Read original post here

This unfinished project car was purchased locally from a third party in August 2019...  Read original post here.

The speedster body was finally removed; read the February 2020 for updates.

August 2023 Update:

Part 3 … two years later. LOL The Ford Model A Speedster project is still alive.

Where does the time go? Maybe too many other projects, family dramas, holidays, health issues and my real job?
First off. I have a Model A steering column now and we have rebuilt it. Same with the horn. It is not a Sparton horn but does sound good. Maybe I will paint it red since we will not have a point car here.

The new 1931 Model A Ford Speedster frame has been pressure cleaned, sandblasted, and painted. We used Eastwood black satin chassis paint.
The front and rear springs have been cleaned and painted. The rear axle has been opened and checked for wear. We found nothing needing repairs. The front axle is straight so it has been sandblasted and painted.

All four drums have been cleaned and reshoed. We have the assemblies boxed and ready with many new parts and brake floaters. We will need to order new brake rods because they will be exposed when reinstalled. The pitting was a bit too much. I had a set of brand-new Model A wheels to replace the earlier ones. They have been painted my favorite yellow wheat. New tires with metal commercial valve stems…. Set aside for the speedster assembly.

So, the speedster frame is ready to assemble. Many new parts for the suspension are here and ready for paint. I am hoping to start putting the speedster frame together soon. By soon,  I mean a few weeks..

Please check in with us next month and see what we have accomplished.
