Part 2, February 2020:

Well another month has past and I have only accomplished removing the speedster body.

The body is resting on my Home Depot and Harbor Freight wheeled body carriage. It has been well used through the years and it has held several coupe bodies, sedan bodies and pickup truck bodies. Such a simple handling tool to easily move around the shop when needed.

The body has been completely cleaned of everything down to the wood frame and outer wood skin.
I’ll leave this all the body work and interior fabrication until after the chassis work has been completed.

Hopefully, this month the engine and transmission will be removed. Then we will open the engine up and check for any issues. The compression was good on all four but with the head off we can see those valves and chambers. Removing the oil pan will let us see if there is any wear to the lower end. If so, the engine will be dissembled and completely rebuilt.

The chassis has some wear in the pedal section and the steering needs attention. Also, the Model T steering needs to go while new advance and throttle rods need to be installed. I think that this work will take up all of February plus March.
